AI Keeps Watch: St. Luke’s Turns Predictive Tech Into Real Patient Wins

DeFiance Daily – St. Luke’s University Health Network in Pennsylvania has deployed an AI-powered safety system across all 16 of its hospitals, cutting cardiac arrests by 34% and avoiding $1.75 million in ICU costs. The tool, Epic’s Deterioration Index, flags patient decline in real time so clinicians can intervene earlier.
