GameSquare Buys Iconic Cowboy Ape NFT in $5M Stock Deal

DeFiance Daily – GameSquare has acquired CryptoPunk #5577, the legendary Cowboy Ape, from DeFi pioneer Robert Leshner in a rare public-market NFT-for-equity swap. Leshner received $5.15 million in GameSquare preferred stock, cementing the Nasdaq-listed firm’s push to integrate crypto culture directly into its treasury and brand strategy.
