Mayor Eric Adams has signed Executive Order 57, creating the nation’s first municipal Office of Digital Assets and Blockchain to oversee crypto innovation, economic growth, and responsible tech adoption. Leading the new office is Moises Rendon, a blockchain policy expert who previously advised the U.S. State Department and helped shape New York’s own blockchain strategy inside City Hall.
