Ripple and SBI to Bring RLUSD Stablecoin to Japan

DeFiance Daily – Ripple has signed a new memorandum of understanding with SBI Holdings and its crypto exchange subsidiary SBI VC Trade to launch Ripple USD (RLUSD) in Japan. The move positions RLUSD—already pitched as a compliance-first, institution-grade stablecoin—to serve Japan’s growing demand for transparent, regulated digital dollars. Distribution is expected in Q1 2026.
