Trump Pushes AI Data Centers to Pay Their Own Power Bills

DeFiance Daily — President Donald Trump says Americans should not shoulder higher electricity costs driven by AI data centers. In a Truth Social post, Trump said his administration is working with major tech firms, starting with Microsoft, to ensure data centers pay their own way. Microsoft quickly followed with a new “Community-First AI Infrastructure” plan that commits the company to covering electricity, water, and community costs tied to AI expansion.
