UK Data Watchdog Investigates Snapchat’s My AI Over Privacy Concerns

The UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office has issued a preliminary notice to Snapchat, accusing the social media platform of a “worrying failure” to assess the potential privacy risks posed by its AI chatbot, My AI, especially to children. Snapchat’s My AI feature allows users to message a computer that mimics human conversation and is powered by ChatGPT.
