A group of researchers in Central Florida, part of the Loss Prevention Research Council at the University of Florida, is developing cutting-edge technology to combat retail theft. In collaboration with major retailers like Home Depot and Walmart, the LPRC is working on innovative solutions to outsmart shoplifters who aim to steal tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of products daily.
